Created by William Caslon in 1722, Calson is a typeface with influences from Dutch baroque fonts andBritish Georgian architecture of the time. Dynamic type lockups and spiraling text, inspired by Caslon's background as a gunlock and barrel engraver, are combined with delicate combinations of the letterforms 'r' and 't' reminiscent of his earlier serif creations as well.
